Clark Farms Harvest Fest

Back in the fall, when the leaves were bright, the air was crisp and pumpkin spice was all the rage, Jenna, Nina and I paid a visit to Clark Farms' Wild West Harvest Festival. Although very hokey, and a bit "corny," we very much enjoyed ourselves :)

After a selfie on the hayride, we visited the Corn Cannon...I told you it was corny ;)

Look at the flying corn! After firing a few ears, we headed into the corn maze...

And, luckily, we found the exit while solving riddles and puzzles along the way. All in all, a pretty fun-filled, fall adventure with these goofs ;)

Tacos on the Beach

This summer Tab, Jenna, Nina and I checked out the "Food Trucks on the Beach" night at Narragansett Town Beach for the first time. There were four trucks complete with barbecue, pizza, hotdogs, and seafood. T grabbed a few slices of pizza while J, N and I indulged in some lobster tacos from the Shuckin Truck.

Look at those tacos. The combination of fresh lobster meat, mango salsa, and guacamole made for some of the (dare I say...) best tacos I've ever had! I definitely have to try wrapping hard shells in the soft shells at home too. After stuffing our faces, we gallivanted about the beach as the sun went down.

Polar Plunge 2015

On January 1st, 2015 I woke up early (10:00...), asked Tab if she wanted to take the Polar Bear Plunge (she groggily said yes), and then rushed like hell to Newport. It was 30 degrees when we arrived, but the blistering wind made it feel like we were trudging through the Arctic. But with everyone hopping up and down, and nervously excited, the energy on the beach was contagious.

5 minutes to 12...it was time to start stripping.

Needless to say Tab was a little cold.

I was surprised at how cold the sand was, our feet were numbing before hitting the water!

One minute remaining...

Post Plunge! Right at 12:00 pm every nearly naked body screamed and charged the icy water. After running about 20 feet in, I dove under a wave, and then quickly ran out soaking wet with every one else since I could no longer feel my legs! I don't think we were ever more excited to put clothes on.

I definitely recommend everyone take the Plunge at some point. It is, in my opinion, the "coolest" way to start the new year. ;)
